The Siberian tiger, a subspecies of tiger, is the largest cat in the world. It averages about 3.3 m (11 feet) in length, with a tail measuring 1 m (3 feet). Adult male Siberian tigers can weigh up to 320 kg (700 pounds), while females are significantly smaller, weighing up to 180 kg (400 pounds).                                    
Siberia is an extensive geographical region spanning much of Eurasia and North Asia. Siberia has historically been a part of modern Russia since the 17th century.

It once ranged throughout the Korean Peninsula, north China, Russian Far East, and eastern Mongolia.
